I have been reminded again over the past week that God is
not making this “life thing” up as we go along. He already knows the end of the story. He knew the entire story before he spoke the world into creation. He is not bound by time as we are. He does not age. He will not die. He is “already there”, as the new Casting
Crowns song reminded me. To Him, our future
is like the past. The trials, which my
family experiences, are no surprise to the Omniscient, Omnipresent and
Omnipotent God. He is working these events for our good and
His glory. My finite mind cannot truly
comprehend this. I, too often, have
trouble seeing past the end of day and how the health issues fit into the “big
picture”. But, I have a feeling that when I am able to
look back at the works God has done through my family, I will be amazed at how
it all just “fit” together.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who
love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Rom 8:28 NASB)
I needed to be reminded that it’s not my story. It’s His story.
